Gotti's Word - Episode 5

gw_5_8.jpg

Irv Gotti has a lot of explaining to do, and explain he does: every week he gives us blow-by-blow commentary on the latest episode of Gotti's Way. After the jump, Irv talks about getting back in the studio to produce records, Deb's accusation that he's a "bad example" for his kids, and his parents' 51-year relationship.

On producing:

gw_5_3.jpgI still go in the studio like all the time, make records and bounce off ideas and do that. I don’t do it as much as I would like to because the executive lifestyle got me doing a bunch of other s***. You know what I’m saying? But I still get in there every week and create. I love that s***.

On Deb's accusation that Irv's a bad example for their kids:

gw_5_7.jpgI agree with her to extent of I’m a bad example because it’s not a traditional marriage. It’s not the kids seeing Mommy and Daddy living together, sleeping together, and growing up happy that way. So it is somewhat of a bad example, but I tell my sons and Angie all the time like yo, this is just the cards that have been dealt. What I try to tell them is when they go to take the marriage step be 1,000 percent sure, because men and women aren’t guaranteed. It’s not guaranteed when you meet someone that you're gonna love this person for the rest of your life and want to be with this person for the rest of your life. I tell Sonny and JJ all the time: "You're gonna have girlfriends, and you're gonna love this girl, but you're gonna wake up one day and say I don’t love her gw_5_1.jpganymore. Or she might do something and not love you no more. You're gonna have to deal with that, and roll with that. " Deb is telling them, "If you find somebody, you stick it out good or bad. You stick it out. " And I’m not telling ‘em that. I’m like yo: find your happiness and if you find it with that person, great. You might find it with that person and it may disappear, what are you gonna do? Sit in the f***ing f***ed up life?

On not following the example of his parents, who have been together for 51 years:

gw_5_6.jpg[Theirs] was a different time. There's is a conversation I have with my father, that didn't make the show that is unbelievable. What my father basically explains is he never had a vision of getting money. I say, 'Dad, you a man. You ain’t never thought of doing it big or getting like a million dollars? Or getting more to provide for your family?' He said no. That wasn’t even a thought. He said, "My dream was putting food on the table." And I’m not talking nice food, just rice and like pork and beans. That was his dream. He said Weezy, which is my mom, she was in the struggle with him. She would take me to work, there were things that we had to do to survive, way different philosophy from that time to this time. That marriage is gonna last 51 years. It’s not only they're together, they need each other for survival. He is talking to me about survival, here I am I done did it. I am the first person in my whole family’s generation to ever get any type of real money. I mean I know people with billions so it’s like when I look at me, I’m like I’m broke. But I am the first person in my generation to ever have any money. So I told him in this conversation, 'Dad it’s different, I’m thinking about getting this money, I’m thinking about this. Yo, if me and Deb ain’t 100 percent, I’m gonna go astray.' He says, 'No you're not! After you know everything why would you do that? Look at your family!' And he gw_5_15.jpgknows I’m all about family. Everything I do is to support my family. And I’m like, 'I know. I’m gonna be here, there, there, there, there’s temptation everywhere." I say this shit and I think to myself, 'Yo that’s a f***ed up thing to say,' but I believe it’s true. In this business, the devil wins. The devil wins all day.

Pepa is the next HUGE Reality Star,Forget New York!!! New York is tired and getting a little to "reality TV". I think Pepa should have her own show similiar to I Love New York. She deserves to be loved and I know she would be true to her heart. I love her attitude, her look and she is a REAL Star. I guarantee the ratings will be higher and the show would be more interesting. I can just imagine what dudes would do for her! New York at the end of the day is a just a Flava of Love reject.Sandra Denton is the BOMB!!!!
