Last month's announcement of open calls for Rock of Love 2 kicked off widespread speculation on which rocker would rule the house -- names like Tommy Lee, Mark McGrath and Dave Navarro batted around the Internet buzz. Now, the VH1 Blog exclusively can reveal that Rock of Love 2 will star none other than Bret Michaels, who's ready to give reality TV dating another shot after things fizzled with Rock of Love winner Jes.

Expect more girls (20, to be exact), more challenges, more turn-ons and more diabeetus in the second season of Rock of Love, which is coming...well, sooner than you might think!

Alright!!! I was totally hooked on ROL and was very disappointed with what a fake Jes turned out to be. Hopefully, things will turn out better for Bret next time around. Can't wait for ROL II.

Wish Jes would have been honest with him about having a boyfriend all along and not led him on like she did. Hopefully, VH1 picks a better bunch of girls for Bret on the next show.

I don't know why I thought this reality show about "finding love" would be any different from the others (Bachelor, Flava, etc.) in which the couple never actually stays together. Maybe it was because Bret seemed sincere in his search and because I liked Jes, who seemed like a nice, normal, drama-free gal. When I found out that they had only spoken once since filming wrapped and that Jes had a boyfriend, I felt so duped!! Can't believe I rooted for this couple! Seems there'd be a better chance of the couple to actually STAY a couple if there wasn't such a long time between wrapping the filming and airing the show. I hear it takes 5 weeks to film the show, yet there's a 6 month gap 'til it airs, during which time Bret and Jes weren't allowed to be seen together. Well of course they're not going to be able to maintain and nurture romance in that situation. If VH1/Bret and all the other celebrity love-seekers truly want to find love, they should be able to cut down the lag time. Should be a month, tops, between end of filming and airing the show; or they should film and air the episodes concurrently. Again, I feel so duped!

I think Heather should get her own show! They gave one to New York, after all. If Bret doesn't think Heather can take care of him and his diabeetus, then give Heather her own show...Pole of Love, or I Screwed Bret Michaels and All I Got Was My Own Show.... or something!

I think it's pretty clear that Brett ain't looking for Love he's looking for PR for his band and himself at the exspense of women's hearts.

I was really hoping VH1 wouldn't be lazy and stupid and turn a great show like Rock of Love into Flavor of Love.

Well, I was totally surprised of the POOR COMMUNICATION from the producers to Jess/Brett.. 6 MONTHS APART??? WTF?? He wasn't even on tour?? Seems like the VH1 Network is more worried about ratings and stringing along contestants, than the possibility of 2 people finally allowed to be together to further develop a relationship. There has been NO "hook up" show that has ended up in a true relationship- besides ONE.
I think we should ALL realize that these shows are designed to instigate drama, cat-fights, and turmoil for the sole benefit of RATINGS. Its really OUR FAULT, the viewers, for having such a sick facination of watching other people's lives unfold on TV- although it is amusing to watch- nonetheless!! Gotta love I Love New York- would love to be a personal assistant and spend some time just shooting the breeze with her. She seems like she would be a good friend to hang out with! Loved the episode with all the kids and seeing them torment all the guys! LOL
Let me know if VH1 would ever be interested in doing a show with a 38 year old single Gay man living with HIV. You think dating is hard? Try finding someone to spend the rest of your life with and living with HIV and on disability with little income.

Jes was in no way a FAKE... she was telling it like it is ... bret should of picked Heather they click better... and just because bret was scared of heather's openess about whether or not a girl was hot... he picked jes to be safe to make sure his heart was protected... bret bitched the whole show about the girls letting there guards down an in the end he never did because if he did he would have picked heather... heather deserves better and so does jes because he played them both.. heather by picking jes and not taking his own advice and jes by not admitting that him and heather should be together and keeping his guard up...

Boo! Bret was, for me, the least interesting part of "Rock of Love." And what a sham, his whole "I'm looking for love" bit. If he truly was -- he'd have explored his connection with Heather. And it's very clear that the producers were more important to him than Jes-- otherwise, he would've found a way to contact her...

I am so happy that there will be a ROL part 2. I loved watching ROL part 1 and I was so disapointed that Jes was not who I thought she was, I loved the two together. Can't wait for part 2...I am totally addicted to Bret now.

VH1 has found a new formula show, a dating show surrounding an older, outdated celebrities and brings them back to life while having women act a damned fool for their attentions. Then they have a reunion where how we left the show isn't how it ends up. The person he picked, doesn't want him for real and the one he should have picked really loved him. Then they start all over again bringing the woman he should have picked the first go around back in the house for drama and fights. I thank you VH1 for a foolproof formula for getting my attention.
