The Celebreality Interview - Chyna

Slfg_4_7_1

Do you know that rubber chickens are hard to come by? Chyna does!

Did you enjoy participating in the show?

It started out amusing. I was really excited to meet all these celebrities and get the chance to do that 'cause, oddly enough, when I was wrestling I had met so many people backstage, I could only say hi to them.  To be honest with you, though, I haven't really stayed in touch with anybody [from the cast]. I've tried but, and they really look at this as a competition.

Losing the first challenge seemed to hit you really hard.

Yes, well you know the first challenge Video_icon for me was hard. You think you're gonna go in there and have a good time and do your own thing.  In this case, there was a prize and eliminations and people are taking it so seriously I mean…I wouldn't do that again, that's not my cup of tea. I'm not that competitive of a person.  I found it to be very confusing and exhausting.  But I'm glad I did it. If I hadn't have done the show, I would have never met Brigitte Nielsen, and I would have never met Rob Van Winkle. It was worth it just to meet them.

You have pretty much been on the B-list from the start. Was that difficult?

Well, actually I was having a wonderful time with  Brigitte Nielsen Video_icon . We clicked right away, and we were having a ball! We were getting smashed and having a blast, and thinking, OK, here's our time to party down and lets do it, girl. But then we woke up to a very unpleasant experience, which was supposed to be a joke, and we started off with dead on arrival toe tags. And y'know, it wasn't funny, jokes are funny whatnot, but this wasn't.

You mentioned Brigitte before. The show implied that there was something going on between you two.

Yeah well and so what? But no, Brigitte and I are happily straight and we are also affectionate, and we also were kidding around. No, we are not lesbians, we are thespians.

About your fight with Verne in the car…

…which I think is hysterical because I mean first of all, like I said, on that show people are so competitive and it got so nasty with each other and I was like: are you kidding me? I was like aren't we supposed to be like kicking it together? Y'know, but everybody was miserable. Verne has a perpetual attitude and when we were leaving the restaurant, Vern was starting to get extremely drunk. And I said that I think that it's time to go home and we went to go get in our car and Vern was riding all over the parking lot and then he picked up Traci. He was driving all over the parking lot, so much so that all the bouncers that had allowed us to have a good time, were coming out into the parking lot because, I mean, you can't just go drunk scootering. So I said something and he just ignored me and I just then I said I've had it with Vern because I have tried so many times with him and he doesn't like me. I tried and I'm done with him now.

So when you called him a "midget," after he asked you not to, were you just doing that to get under his skin?

The first time I said it, I didn't know you couldn't say the word. I got mad at him and said "midget," and he said, "You called me a midget." Oh alright, the proper term is what? Sorry. Now I know. I will not say that word again. So, whatever, like, get over it. I apologize to all the people that I've called midgets, but I'm confused.. I don't know if it's "little dwarf" or "little people" or I don't know. I guess saying "midget" is like saying, "You're an a******," and the proper term would be, "I really don't like you."

In the room-destroying challenge Video_icon , you walked in and did this minimalist thing where you took off your gloves and did the sunglasses thing. What were you thinking at that point?

I was trying to be creative. I actually was…And I don't understand how people have been calling me crazy. I thought that I would get points 'cause I was thinking of a movie, like one of those cool Japanese movies where they go in and clean the room. Maybe that's just my own little dream in my head, but I noticed that one of the areas was creativity and I didn't feel that any other person had creativity. I hope Quentin Tarantino sees what I did.

Tell me about the rubber-chicken shots. Were they your idea?

Las Vegas has one of the biggest costume shops in the country. And so I looked it up, and I went there. I am always looking for rubber chickens Video_icon because they are hard to find. I saw them there and I thought, Oh my god, that's hysterical, we'll have some props. We'll put the rubber chicken on somebody's bed or put it in the refrigerator or we'll do something with it. And I believe that we put it to great use. Me and Traci had a blast. And I think that was our bonding moment. After this I'd like to be able to go to an establishment and say, "Can I have a rubber chicken shot please?" People drink beer out of straw hats. I mean, who makes those? But now see the problem is that I left my rubber chicken there and it's hard to find a rubber chicken.

I’ll keep an eye open.

It’s a very rare item. Plus I am an animal-rights activist so when I saw the rubber chicken I was like hey…

I didn’t know you were an animal-rights activist.

Yeah. I am an animal rights activist with the Barbi twins.

I also hear that you're an advocate for people in violent relationships?

Yes I am a huge advocate.  I represent Shelter From the Storm, which is in Palm Springs.  And of course I went through domestic violence. When you go through it, it's traumatizing to not know where to go. Women go through hell. Besides the fact that it hurts to get physically beaten and it puts a damper on your career and it's humiliating. It should be taken care of but people don't know how. They need to feel strong and know that they can be somewhere where they are safe, and figure out the right thing to do.  If there's anybody out there being beaten go to a shelter.  Don’t be scared.

Is fame all that it's cracked up to be?

From the respect of certain people, you bet.  From the disrespect from some people it's horrible. People are famous for different things, but you never know the other side of the story. I'm good with me, I love everything that I've done and I'm proud of everything that I’ve done. For me, I think that I've always done the best job I can.

You're a survivor, Chyna.

Well, you see, it's hard.  I loved wrestling but I'm not there anymore and I have my own reasons and morals for not going back. People want me to wrestle and I want to wrestle but it took me so long.  And you know I really, really loved the boys and they were my family.  So many people were getting hurt.  I miss the crowd, I miss that.  It's a good thing to experience the progress, the only thing I can do is be honest and hope people like what I'm doing.

Chyna,
Hey girl!! You have absolutely NO idea who I am, however, I wanted to just write to you and tell you that I admire you in all that you have done. I have watched you since you first went into wrestling, and I thought you were pretty kickass. And then I started seeing you in these reality shows, and the more I watch the more I can relate to you and some of the things you have been through. Anyway, I just wanted to say HEY! and tell you to keep smile'n. Take care.

HeyChynaDoll

Chyna..
Not sure if you took steriods when you were wrestling, but if so coming off them can cause despression.
I'm not a medical doctor, just a PhD, but I think you show signs of depression similar to men when they cease to use steriods.

Please seek medical help for depression and be honest about it's on-set, if this is the case.

You're looking really feminine and toned these days!
Much better than before if you ask me. :)
Keep your spunk!!

THIS IS WHAT SHOULD HAVE GONE DOWN: 1. VERNE/2. MANNY/3. TRACEY/4. 'GITTE/5. CHYNA--ALL IN THAT ORDER TO DESTROY THAT HOTEL ROOM FOR THAT CHALLENGE, GIVING EVERYONE AN EQUAL CHANCE TO RIP IT APART & COULD'VE ENDED UP WINNING. CHYNA DOLL KNOWS SHE COULD'VE DONE MORE--& SHE KNEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheryl Swanaset

The day Chyna doll left the show
I thought this Kenny women was an unfair idiot. You are suppose to go by the rules. Andrea should had left the show. Apparently cry babies are allowed to stay in the game. Chyna doll won fair and square to remain on the show. To bad this show was taped a long time ago. If it was a live broadcast, VH1 could have done the right thing by bring Chyna Doll back for the next contest game. This Kenny also allowed Vanilla Ice to bully her around. If Ice wanted his names of celebities off this list, then you guys should have allowed that. As an avid viewer of this show, surrell Life, past shows, I would like to say when unfair practices are being allowed, then it is my time to turn off this show and go with another network. Apologies should be given to Miss Chyna!

signed, the right to play fair and square!!!

Kennedy Sucked on MTV and she still sucks now

This women has been a train wreck since she was a VJ on MTV in the early nineties. She was voted the most hated MTV VJ polled by rolling stone magazine. Kennedy was bullied by Rob 'Melted Ice' Van Winkle with his temper attacks. Hey Rob, did you do that when Suge made you sign on the dotted line? Kennedy do everyone a favor and do your spread for Playboy already wearing just the glasses and some heals. Who knows it might just jumpstart your sagging career in television since no one out of gen x knows who you are.

RALPH

I SAW THE EPISODE WHERE ALL THE CELEBS CALL THEIR 'STAR FREINDS' ........... I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT CHYNA DOLL LOST, EVERYONE KNEW THAT ANDREA WOULD LOOSE.... SHE DIDNT KNOW ANYBODY ,, YOU COULD CLEARLY SEE THAT ANDREA WAS HAVING A HARD TIME TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO TO CALL, WHILE IN THE MEANTIME THERE IS CHYNA DOLL ON THE PHONE ALL THE TIME GETTIN CALLS FROM REALLY FAMOUS POEPLE AND SHE LOST? SORRY BUT THATS SUCH CRAP! I THINK CHYNA DOLL WAS SET UP, SHE NEEDS TO BE IN ANOTHER REALITY VH1 SHOW, VH1 SHOW MAKE UP FOR THAT CRAP THAT STUPID KENNEDY DID TO HER. IM SURE THAT KENNEDY CANT EVEN GET INTO MR.CHOW HERSELF.

RALPH

IM REALLY SO SURPRISED WITH WHAT HAPPENED TO CHYNA DOLL. WAS NOT FAIR. AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT.

RALPH

I THINK VH1 SHOULD GIVE CHYNA DOLL HER OWN REALITY SHOW >>>>> SHE'LL BE IN CHARGE OF PICKING WITH GUEST JUDGES .... THE NEXT TOP FEMALE WORLD WRESTLER VH1 SHOULD MAKE UP FOR THE CRAP THEY DID TO CHYNA DOLL.

First of all, this is my first Blog entry, ever. I want to mention that I strongly disagree with the one who said you are "crazy". It's an ignorant and insensitive statement and I wish it would be removed from this page.

Normally, I wouldn't write on these things, but after watching this show, (admitting it is a guilty pleasure), I just want to say that I am impressed with you "Chyna". I never followed Wrestling, but considering all you have been through, I think you are doing wonderful things. Offering support for abused woman should be a top priority in any society and I think you are a true champion for seeing that. It's obvious that you have a lot to offer the world.

"Walking the line" can be a tough road. Something I've struggled with my whole life has been to remember to surround myself with genuine people. When you are a celebrity, it must be difficult to know who cares and who is just another sychophant. It does not mean you are weak if you seek help. After all, we hairless apes are social animals, and it's a good thing.

To top this off, I'd just like to say that I think you are beautiful just the way you are and I am very glad to see you pursuing the path you are on. It may get difficult at times. Just know that there are other people like me out there that support you all the way.

Good Luck and Keep fighting the good fight!

Last Comment was me. Had the wrong email address. This one is correct.

I liked Andrea, however it was only a matter of time.

Hopefully Chyna Doll will have her own reality show on VH1. I think she would do great!
