To recap VH1's year in Celebreality programming, we're honoring the craziness (and, let's face it: crazies) with an informal (and fairly arbitrary) set of awards we're giving away online. Actually, there are no real awards to give away, but hey, it's the thought that counts. It is, after all, the holiday season.

Part 1, dedicated to special achievements in Celebreality, went up yesterday. Part 2 continues today with the superlatives. The first category is Best Filming Location: Hooters on Hogan Knows Best.

You can see that Hulk's mother is sitting at the table with them, on this final episode of Season 4 of Hogan Knows Best. What's notable about this is that Hooters was her choice of dining locations. And what's dually notable about that is Grandma Ruth revealed that she had just visited the jiggle joint the week before, only to revise her recollection: "Oh, it was yesterday!" She's a regular. At Hooters.

How did the Hogans follow this up? With a visit to Fashion Bug, of course, where Brooke attempted persuade Grandma to buy clear heels, "like me and mom."

That is a tasty after-dinner mint, if ever there were.

Actually, there are no real awards to give away, but hey, it's the thought that counts. It is, after all, the holiday season.

Part 1 kicks off today. Below, we look back at the special achievements reached on shows like Charm School, Rock of Love, Ego Trip's The White Rapper Show, Celebrity Fit Club: Men vs. Women and Gotti's Way. Our first award is the Achievement in Beauty, Nails Division, which goes to...

Last month's announcement of open calls for Rock of Love 2 kicked off widespread speculation on which rocker would rule the house -- names like Tommy Lee, Mark McGrath and Dave Navarro batted around the Internet buzz. Now, the VH1 Blog exclusively can reveal that Rock of Love 2 will star none other than Bret Michaels, who's ready to give reality TV dating another shot after things fizzled with Rock of Love winner Jes.

Expect more girls (20, to be exact), more challenges, more turn-ons and more diabeetus in the second season of Rock of Love, which is coming...well, sooner than you might think!

October 08, 2007

Hey! I'll show you things you've never seen...but could probably predict. Below is my on-set, behind-the-scenes and backstage account of the taping of the Rock of Love reunion. Over the course of the night I'd be called a "jackass" by one of the girls to my face (dying to know what they had to say about me behind my back!), I'd get to hang out with Bret and I'd achieve my elusive goal of interviewing Tiffany. See kids? Dreams do come true!

To whet your appetite, here's a picture of Bret with an anecdote:

Bret art-directed this shot. He he's the one who suggested he be shot next to the picture of the girl. Once a ladies' man, always a ladies' man.

If you watched the Rock of Love reunion, you know that isn't quite the rock of love that Bret had thought. Now we can bring you the full story from Jes' perspective. They say that winning isn't everything, it's the only thing, but for Jes, it amounts to...well, very little.

After the jump, Jes tells us about the only time she talked to Bret in the six months between the taping of Rock of Love and the reunion. She lets us know what she really thinks of Bret, what she's up to now and why she thinks Heather should have won.

Heather learned that every rose has its thorn the hard way when Bret picked Jes to be his rock of love and essentially pricked the beating heart out of Heather's body. And though it sent her on a bitter and memorable tirade, you'll see in the interview below that Heather's heart has softened as time has passed.

After the jump, big news abounds: a woman of her word, Heather has quit stripping. She talks about her former profession, whether she regrets getting Bret's name tattooed on her, the state of her sexuality and that awesome, awesome hair she rocked week after week like the trooper that she is.

Yeah, yeah, Jes won. Whoo-hoo. Yay. Blahblahblah.

It's not that I'm not happy for her, it's just that I'm happier about something else -- the show's true triumph of the human spirit...

...Heather's hair. It's overcome so many obstacles. Gravity, for example. Ultimately, it's the show's real winner, if you ask me.

After 11 weeks and innumerable hangovers, Bret has finally found his rock of love in Jes. Good girls rule!

After the jump, Jes talks about her attraction to Bret, what it's like to date a man who's more than 20 years her senior, letting her guard down and what it was like to be one of the few sane people in a house full of crazies.

As Rock of Love draws to a close, we take another look back on the moments that rocked our world. The catfights. The cackling. The urine. The booze (and booze and booze and booze). The aerosol. The ill-advised tattoos. The meth-scratched faces. Yep, it was a special show, indeed.

Our Top 10 Rock of Love Moments Countdown starts after the jump...

rock_of_love_greatest_hits.jpg

As you know, Bret likes to rock, and so did his show. Our look back at this decidedly awesome first season of Rock of Love begins with a retrospective of its songs, its greatest hits, if you will. We've collected and uploaded our favorite Rock of Love original recordings for your cackling pleasure. Many of these have an outsider-art ethic, thanks to the nature of one episode's songwriting challenge -- sometimes non-musicians who are put on the spot and forced to write a song make the best music of all.

And then there are those who took the initiative to create their own sounds. Who could forget Magdalena's phone-sex ode to "Brettay," or Rodeo's rhapsodizing about that mythical rainbow of never-ending love? We've also included the show's theme song (hey, did you know that Bret Michaels will let you touch his backstage pass? Do you understand how amazing that is? He'll let you touch his backstage pass!) and a special message from Tiffany, which, while technically not a song, is still music to our ears.
