For the rest of the week, we'll be counting down our Top 10 Celebreality moments of the year. Relive the weirdest, wildest, funniest and/or really realest scenes that VH1 had to offer in '06. We start with Nos. 10-6 after the jump...
10. Carnie Wilson can't tell the truth [Watch]
Celebrity Fit Club 4 was arguably the most drama-filled entry in the series so far, thanks in no small part to Carnie Wilson's continued struggles. After hitting a virtual plateau but continually claiming to be following the CFC coaches' fitness and nutrition regiment, Harvey and Dr. Ian smuggled her to (what looked like) an abandoned building for a lie detector test. The polygraph squeezed some fo the truth out of Carnie (she finally admitted that she wasn't watching what she ate as closely as she should have). More importantly, it squeezed out some of her best faces as she mugged and shuddered throughout the ordeal. It was, hands down, her best public performance in years. After the test, Carnie tells the camera that the polygraph machine "makes you psycho." No, silly -- dieting makes you psycho!
9. Mariel Hemingway can't handle the (possible) truth [Watch]
Fan favorite Celebrity Paranormal Project wreaked havoc on the nerves of celebs, but few were more shaken than Mariel Hemingway. Forced to retrace the steps of a sadistic warden who let his prisoners burn to death, Mariel recounted the bodies ravaged by the fire. With each number, her voice grew more urgent, so that you could follow along the trajectory of her dread at home. This was, quite simply, CPP's most palpable scare. You may hate to see a pretty lady cry, but just try to take your eyes off this scene.
8. The Hogans get a lesson in kosher [Watch]
In what could be the most insane episode of Hogan Knows Best yet, the family is alerted to the reality that (brace yourself) people eat differently than them. After discovering that many of their new neighbors in Miami are Jewish, the Hogans take a crash course in kosher cuisine. Of course, this involves sharing their misconceptions (basically, they say "pickles" a lot) and saying the word "kosher" itself dozens of times. The scene above finds them visiting a kosher supermarket to get the skinny from the expert. It's great that they learned about a new culture but there's one lesson the Hogans don't seem wise to: never trust a man who tells you, "Your bananas are beautiful," without buying you dinner -- even if he's wearing a yarmulke.
7. America's former Next Top Model bags herself a Brady [Watch]
Who ever would have guessed, when given the challenge of pitching a show to VH1 execs on The Surreal Life 4, that Adrianne's idea of a show about courting Christopher Knight would have been picked up? Furthermore, who would have guessed that it would end in marriage? But it was and it did. Two seasons of My Fair Brady culminated with the wedding of Adrianne and Christopher, a typically surreal affair that found Chynna attending and Adrianne's ANTM cast mate Kesse as part of the bridal party. A toast to Adrianne and Christopher: for a future filled with happiness and reality programming.
6. Team New York vs. Team Krazy [Watch]
Oh sure, fights spearheaded by New York were a dime a dozen on Flavor of Love 2. But how many others featured Krazy in the pool, fully clothed with no explanation? Good old Krazy!
